Far too many neurodiverse children and/or those with SEND struggle with confidence and self-esteem. As both a Mother of neurodiverse, home-educated children and an education professional I have sadly seen a lot of this. I am passionate about supporting these young people and helping them to embrace and celebrate the incredible ways their brains work! I feel strongly that creative education can help these young people to develop a whole range of skills including self-expression, motor skills, critical thinking, communication, focus/concentration, perseverance, collaboration, resilience and confidence. Art is a powerful tool which allows children to communicate their feelings and ideas without words.

I hold an MSc in child and adolescent mental health and wellbeing, and chose to base one of my major research projects on the ADHD brain. I have over ten years experience working with neurodiverse children and those with SEND, most notably those diagnosed ASD, ADHD/ADD and SPD.

creatED’s projects and workshops are always SEND and neurodiverse affirming. Please do get in touch if your child/ren require any specific arrangements or resources to access the learning.
